One thing that separates a beginner from advanced drummer is utilizing your bass drum during drum fills. Adding one more limb opens up creativity, makes your fills beefier, and overall allow them to flow better. The great thing about this tip is you can take ANY drum fill you already know and begin applying this concept. Take a tom or snare hit from one of your favorite fills and replace it with the bass drum!
