About the Instructor
Mike Portnoy is known for his incredible performances as the drummer for Dream Theater for 25 years -- along with his musical side projects including Transatlantic and Liquid Tension Experiment.
He has won 30 Modern Drummer Readers Poll awards including Best Rock Drummer, Best Progressive Rock Drummer, Best Recorded Performance, Best Clinician, Best Educational Video, and the Most Valuable Player -- as well as being the second youngest drummer to be inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.
